Speech-Language Pathologist
Brief info

Kaela is a PROMPT-trained, speech-language pathologist who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is excited to join our team at Acorns to Oak Trees. She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana but comes from a military family which afforded her the opportunity to live in various places around the world. Growing up in a military family, she experienced diverse cultures and perspectives, which shaped her understanding of communication in various contexts.

She attended the University of West Georgia where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015 and 2017. After graduation, Kaela dedicated herself to serving her community, particularly focusing on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Her strengths consist of evaluating and treating speech sound disorders, language disorders, and social communication disorders. For Kaela, speech-language pathology isn’t just a career; it’s a meaningful way to empower others and ensure that every child has a voice. Her passion for service shines through in her work, in the hopes to make a significant impact on the lives of those she has the pleasure to serve.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Kaela loves spending time with her son, enjoying activities together like bowling, karaoke, attending NFL football games, and exploring the beautiful beaches of Southern California.
